Savannah

Savannah GA, what to think? Well, had to stop and see for ourselves. We took a trolley tour on our first day’s visit to get an overall view of the sights and to decide which ones we wanted to go back to and take a closer look at. The tolley tour had actors coming on board to provide local information and set the tone for the city and how it grew. It was interesting that Savannah’s founder, James Oglethorpe, had 3 rules for Savannah, and for Georgia. First, no slaves; second no Catholics; and third, no lawyers. The town has 22 squares that provide a place to talk and meet. Each square has a theme or name. Our gallery has a sampling of our time in Savannah and in the Savannah Oaks RV Park where we “camped.”
